So many questions...

Did I think I looked cute in this outfit? What was up with my hair? It's not even a nice afro! Why did my mother let me out of the house looking like this? Didn't she love me? Why am I wearing knee high socks? Why am I smiling up at my mother? Was I thinking "I'm going to get you for this" or "Thank you for letting me wear culottes and knee highs"?

Information Searches That Solve Problems

"The survey results challenge the assumption that libraries are losing relevance in the internet age. Libraries drew visits by more than half of Americans (53%) in the past year for all kinds of purposes, not just the problems mentioned in this survey. And it was the young adults in tech-loving Generation Y (age 18-30) who led the pack. Compared to their elders, Gen Y members were the most likely to use libraries for problem-solving information and in general patronage for any purpose. Furthermore, it is young adults who are the most likely to say they will use libraries in the future when they encounter problems: 40% of Gen Y said they would do that, compared with 20% of those above age 30 who say they would go to a library. "

Four Hours of Questioning

How do I get internet access? Do you have wifi? How do I get a library card? Do you have books on acid rain? Does this library have a bathroom? May I get some headphones? Do you have any books on Alexander the Great? Where are the Disney Fairy books? Do you have a bus schedule for the city? Will you tell me the recent publications for this think tank? Where are the Magic Treehouse books? Do you have any books on Pluto or astronomy? Where are the Calvin and Hobbes books? How do I find the Caldecott award winners? Where do I leave this box for the toy drive? Who I do talk with about posting this flyer? How do I get a copy card? Where are the encyclopedias? What time do you close? Where is a good place for a group to study? Where can I plug in my laptop? Where do I reserve a word processor? Where are the newspapers? Where are the foreign language CDs? Where is the card catalog?
