It wasn't quite a groin muscle pull. It was more like the spill Lindsey Kildow took during a training run at the Olympics. She recovered from the fall, but didn't have the Olympics she wanted. I took the advice of another Team Librarian member, and I pulled the entire throw off of the needles. I had to take a deep breath before I did it, but I did it. I slowly ripped out the wrong rows, didn't tangle the mohair, and got every stitch back on the needles.
Then I started again. And it wasn't so painful. The dread of unknitting was worse than actually doing it.
The new deadline is April 15. That's four inches a week, and I know I can do that. I'm going to start another project so I can see myself making progress on something.
