Last night Margot and I had dinner at B. Smith and went to see "Varekai," one of the traveling shows of Cirque du Soleil. Cirque is definitely theater and a spectacle. Margot was absolutely fascinated by the contortionist, but I loved the men on the flying trapeze. According to the web site, they're aerial straps, and they're far more extraordinary than the traditional trapeze. They were absolutely amazing.
I'm still going to see a performance by the Washington Ballet.
